16g turbo ?

[99 gst spyder]

i have a 99 gst spyder, i want to put a big 16g in it, what mods do i need for it to run right so it won't lag or have any fuel cut. i have stock internals and stock fuel system, please reply with info on item.

I recommend getting a 255 Walbro fuel pump, 550cc injectors, SAFC, fuel pressure regulator. Also i would port your o2 housing and exhauxt manifold while the turbo is off (this will help with boost creep or lag).

I have mine with a 190 walboro. Not running yet but should be okay. Other than that don't forget about fuel control and some type of data logger. Oh yeah install kit!

good information! also just to keep that creep from happening porting the turbo is a good idea. safc + logger and/or wideband 02 to be safe when tuning up the boost, as im sure you will want to haha. i'd go with 680cc injectors though to give you a little more room to work with.

basically taking a grind wheel to it to allow more flow theres plenty of DIYs on the site

dont worried ask any/all questions thats the point of the site! Its to learn, anything else just post it up. i dont know nearly as much as most of the guys/ppl on this site but like most on here there's always an answer.

i have a super 16g on my 1g and i suggest getting a mbc and keeping your boost at no higher than 12psi or you will get fuel cut. If you have the dough i would also suggest exhaust manifold. Fuel upgrades can be done at a later date if you keep the boost at stock level. When your done you fuel upgrades and safc though have fun with 15 psi. Then start looking for a front mount intercooler.
