What other modifications have been done to the car that you know of?
I personally don't know much about 16gs but I do know that without supporting mods, including higher flowing fuel injectors and pump and a good tune, a 16g doesn't do much good.

P.s. - Welcome to the forums. I hope you find everything you need here. :thumb:

Good luck.

No it stops pullin

The guy I got it from (says) it's got a 255 walbro pump it just seems to do it when it gets into boost

And thanks for the welcome
I picked it up and was just going sale it now I like it fun car!

From the sounds of it yes! Tighten and double check all the hose clamps and couplers, make sure theres no air escaping even if u have to spray a lil bit of water on the couplers to see if air comes out. Best way to check is with a blt. Leaks can be anywhere in the piping from your TB to your manifold. You can always make a tester I'm sure in the "how to's" section there something about how to make one. Goodluck with everything. Keep us updated

What I was told and car has a walbro 255 pump and the big 16 g and only does it when in boost I get what your saying but like I said just pick the car up and don't know whizz about them and dont want to throw money at a something that ant the problem

Going to do a btl and get back with y'all

What more can I expect from a 500 dollar car it's a go getter ROFL

Agreed, it does sound like fuel cut. Try a manual boost controller and lower the boost to a level that doesnt make the ecu angry... only way to combat this is with a maft, or safc. Or ecmlink.

Yes I got after market gauges !!

Now would a boost leak do this too?

I found a pin hole in the charge piping.

Now what is the Easy way out as far as a management system and being able to eliminate fuel cut!!

And what is a good set up with a 16g ?

I am wanting to do a front mount is there front mount kits that are bolt on?

Ecmlink is a awesome tool look at the site ecmtuning.com just read it and go from there, and you can search on the other tools soo much information there to see what will work best for you.

It was at 16 lb and looked and I think injectors are stock and no way to tune it! But dont know if was tuned by owner before

It would be a good idea to know what injectors in your car that would help out tremendously. Pull them out and send us a picture or tell us how they look.

16 psi sounds right for fuel cut on a 16g..If you can give me the numbers stamped on the compressor housing I can tell you what 16g you actually have..

Also stock 2g injectors are black 450's with a dual spray pattern..

One way to fine out if the car was "tuned" was to see a box in the cabin somewhere..That's called an afc, or safc..

Or the previous owner had dsmlink installed, in which you would have to open up your ecu, and take a pic of the chip..

Now one other thing which I probably think is the answer to your "tuning" question..Is that the car is virtually untuned, and parts were just added on..And the owner thought he could get away with just throwing in parts..

But a manual boost controller on it and turn the boost down. That is after you test for boost leaks. This should be enough to at least stop the fuel cut. Then look into modifications and what you will need to go bigger.

Boost creep my friend..I doubt the car is set to 16psi..

On the housing it has 49178-01420 and ya there stock ...

What tuning software should I get and what injectors

Still didn't answer the question:
Does the car have larger injectors or any way to tune it?

And how much boost was it hitting when it was cutting out?

What do you rec on injectors and pump and something to mange them?
