They are junk.

If you want a cheap Evo III, pick up a used one from the classifieds.

IF it was a legit turbo, it would say that it is made by MHI - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

i found some other ones that say they come with a 1 year warranty ???

i dunno if i should go for thos?

being ebay items. WOuld they not last as long or they wont build up the amount of boost a 16g can build ?

if youre going to go for a knock style evo3 turbo, at least go with the turbochargers.com one, they offer a 1 year warantee I believe.

Some are having luck with the EVo III GT's. I seen one go for $150 the other day. At that price, it beats the heck out of the T25

SSAutochrome isn't selling the evoIII GT turbo, theres is another knock off that you can find in a couple places on Ebay. Not sure but this may be the turbo that gave the GT turbo its bad name, since some run the GT & think its great. Personally I would stick with the proven MHI.

As for the turbochargers.com complete, sounds like a great deal if the GT manifold lasts, I guess only time will tell on that. I'd go for the MHI evoIII package.

MHI would definately be the proven choice.
To poster, the 2g total solution is a pretty good deal. What other mods do you currently have (is your profile up to date?)

If it were me, I'd just make/get a custom j-pipe, and look for a 14b.

yea iw as thinking about a 14b before.. but .. i do want to eventually get to low 13s or mid 12s.. by the end of the summer if possible..

thas why i was thinking might as well just get the 16g now..

But i Dont have injectors or dsmlink

im getting a 3 inch exhaust and walbro 255 soon. .

was thinking about running the 16g around 10 psi since i dont have the supporting mods.

14b will get you into the 12's. Seriously, a good 14b can be had for $150 plus 50 for a jpipe. A 16g costs aroun $600!!! with that extra $300 bucks, you could use towards link and be well on your way to 12s

a 14b can take you into the 10's

but seriously, a local guy here just ran a 12.49 with his 14b, stock injectors, stock intake, smic, and a base fuel pressure of like 46-48. He dropped like 200-300 lbs and had a sick 60' time. He made it look easy.

I guess I'll add myself to the GT turbo hater list. I had one blow on my within the first 6 months. They refused to honor my warrenty.
My sponsor bought me a new MHI EVO III 16G and I'm very happy with it.
