an the price will either go up or down depends on which way u go

My cousin bought an imitation 16G and it seems to work great except that spoolup is quite a bit slower than my real E3-16G (at least 500+ RPMS). He's at 321AWHP / 347 torque on a dynojet with just the turbo, E85, 680cc injectors, 255hp pump, 3" exhaust, air filter and my street-tuning.

I have one like that in mine. Bought it from a guy that totaled his eclipse but was new. I ported the #### out of it. I have 1k miles on it so far. No shaft play or smoke. It pulls strong. It might have a slight higher lag, but still hits hard I'm running it at 16psi now. I broke it in the first 500mi. @ 10psi before i cranked up the boost. The only neg. is that wastegate won't work. It won't the the flapper open enough. Only about 3/4 of the way. If u get it, I'd switch it with a 14b or 16g actuator. One that isn't adjustable. I put a 14b on myself. Hope this helps.

EDIT: But then again, 1k miles doesnt mean anything. When you get something that not high quality, you seem to always be checking it, waiting for it to fail. I got it cause it was cheap and my t25 blew up. These are hit or miss. If you can find a true MHI, I'd personally go that route. I will be when I get other things taken care of first.

There are a million other threads just like this that always get the same answers. Perhaps you should have searched first? The ebay 16g knock-offs have been around for years. You are not the first one to ask whether they're worth getting.
