I was wanting to know if I could but my 16g turbo on my rs (420a)? I know it has been talked about before but I found this adapter that I think it could make it work. Please let me know what y'all think...

DSM 1g/2g mitsubishi turbo flange adapter to T3 T3/T4 | eBay

And before y'all say something if I can bolt it up I plan on not keeping the wastegate.on the turbo and run a external wastegate setup

You can put any turbo on the 420A, with a manifold with the correct flange... That adapter should work with one of the many T3 flange manifolds available.

If you're not interested in using the leak-prone adapter, you can also swap the turbine housing for one with a T3 flange- like those used on the Hahn 16G and 20G turbos. If you're in need, PM me...I may be able to help you out.

You know what I just though of something, well I be able to have the housing face down? Because I see hahn kits and the housing is facing up so you have to run the intercooler up and then back down.....????

I'm using a 14b. Its wastegate flapper is welded shut, the internal wastegate actuator has been removed, and its compressor housing is clocked so the outlet faces down. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to do the same.

What im wanting to is mount the turbo and have the cold side (where the intercooler pipe mounts ) on the bottom so I can keep it clean. I don't like the way the hohn kit looks with the both intercooler pipes on top....that is why im asking if I can turn the housing so I can face it down...

But im going to run a external waste gate setup

I modified my 16g to be downfiring. All you have to do is remove the snap-ring from the compressor housing, and grind down a little tab on the inside of the compressor housing. It's really easy to do and it makes it so much easier with a downfiring 16g. I also had an elbow welded on so I didn't need a J-pipe.
