Is there a tutorial out there for installing a 14b/16g on a 2g? I'm going to be doing this soon and would like to know exactly what I'm up against.

I searched, but didn't find any threads that actually had a decent step by step account on what to expect. Does anybody know of one?

Thanks fellas. My last question is: If I'm using an Evo3 16G, do I need to use the evo3 o2 housing or will my Megan racing on work?

I've got the megan already. Its just a standard evo3 16g ordered from forced performance, so I would assume it has the standard mitsubishi housing like the 14b.

Yes, I spent the little extra to get it ported. I plan on running it on low boost for now and wanted to avoid creep as much as possible (I have a 3 inch exhaust and no cat). I cant afford the pump, injectors, and management yet to turn up the boost.

What would be a safe boost level for now? 14ish?

Get a datalogger so you can monitor knock and injector duty cycles... also a wideband wouldn't hurt.

They're all on my list, but limited funds are making me wait on those. My turbo exploded, So thats why I need to replace that now. It just about 6 months earlier than I intended and I haven't saved up for everything yet.

If you are using this one Megan Racing SS O2 Housing for the Mitsubishi Eclipse - DSMtuners.com

it says it bolts directly to the OE turbochargers.
Although I haven't personally installed it myself. :D

I have it along with the megan downpipe and it fits the stock t25 pretty good. I'd give them an 8 out of 10.

With a 3" exhaust & no cat, I wouldn't be surprised if you won't be able to run low boost, it will more then likely creep. Did you get the larger WG flapper? If you want to try & prevent creep you need to do additional porting thats specifically for reducing creep (not something vendors do when they do a reg port job on a turbo). Lots of info on the specific porting on the site here, if you need more info.

It will vary between setups but with my evoIII I was able to run right around 15.5psi, but I wouldn't recommend going this high if you have no means to log. I was running Link at the time to keep an eye on things but at that boost level, injectors were being told to run at 108% (obviously asking for more fuel then the injectors could provide). I was still knock free though but thats only because of the overly rich stock fuel map. So while I was technically running out of fuel, it still wasn't lean enough to be a problem.

Would a fuel pump rewire and a set of 550's be enough? Do I need an SAFC or link to control bigger injectors?

Jezza, you need to learn to use the search function on this site. All of your questions have been asked & answered to many times to count already. This is pretty basic stuff that a simple search would give you your answers. Ontop of that people are more likely to help you out if you atleast make some sort of effort to search for answers on your own.

With that being said, yes a re-wire & 550's would be enough depending on your goal but no you can't just install new injectors with no way to compensate for them. You'll be dumping fuel all the time, which will lead to much bigger (ie more expensive to fix) issues.
