Where on the turbo is Coolant in line go and coolant out line go?

I've seen the FAQ on it but it already assumes I have a turbo to begin with so its almos tlike a drop in. But I am starting with no turbo what so evere. Please help me!

Thanks for the diagram! Helped alot:thumb:

In the diagram it depicts, the coolant lines, which are missing completely. Should I order them from Mitsubishi dealership or just get two nipples and connect via a hose of some sort.

I've read before on t3/t4 and 50 trim turbos that don't even hook up the coolant lines to the turbo. WHY?

Should I do it on the 16g?

Also the pipe that runs from the Turbo to the exhuast....I don't know if it is ported or not (theift recovery) but it came with full 3 in exhaust. There are two holes...one is circle and other is oval. CIrcle is above the oval and the Circle is 2in's or a lil more. Is that stock or aftermarket size?

The reason that some of the T3 turbos you see dont have coolant lines are because they are oil cooled instead.

Just buy new coolant lines. Did you get the 2g install kit? If you could get a picture of your O2 housing that would help to see if its stock.

If I was you, I would go a head and order those lines because the 16g needs them. The reason t3/t4 don't need them is because they have a different type of cooling system and bearings. The 16g need those lines. As for the exhast, take some pics and post them. Hopefully we can tell you from those pics

You could do it without the metal lines, but you run the risk of blowing the hoses off and losing coolant. I go to say thats a nice looking kit though. As for the posting of pics, all you need to do is hit the "Go Advanced" button beside the "Post Quick Reply" button. Then click the "Upload/Edit Photo" button under the "Additional Options" area. That is it.

What about clamps at the end?

The reason why I am asking for the Hoses vs. Metal Ones is b/c On my day off I went to SK Speed and dropped $50 on nipples. Its no big deal fo me to go an return them just that I need to know. I wantt o be safe and you can't put a price on security. I want to protect my turbo!

Pics will be up tonight when my sister reutnrs from school with it.

You could put some claps on it. I am sure it would hold. One other thing you get with the steel lines is that they don't expand, which is nice. I am sure the hoses would be fine, but I am anal bout stuff I put in and I "try", can't always but, I try to do it all the way. I just don't want you to have problems later. Now that I think about it, if you were to get some super strong hose and not just vac line, you wouldn't have any problem what so ever.

Also check out this.

BTW, has anyone else noticed a sudden small surge of "are there any 16G install guides around" threads lately?

I have the 16g install guide from VFAQ, but its kind of worthless to me. My car came w/o turbo and lines. The 2nd he gave me with all the diagrams is helpful, has the parts labeled to see what I am mising and I can fab up.

My noob days are coming to an end!

What was the purpose to your first link or any of your others? I am asking about hoses and nipples vs. stock coolant metal lines.
as well as if my downpipe os ported or not!

Sorry if I was not clear!

I am not the guru of hoses but I was thinking of getting the hoses that are rubber and then the outside are wrapped with some strong thread.

I used the stock lines from the t25 on my 16g just tweaked them a little bit and ran longer coolant hoses to make it reach and used those tiny worm clamps.

Those lines that you are talking about is what I was thinking about. They would hold just fine with come claps. You should go with that. You got those pic yet man?

I tried updating te pics and they all state that they exceed the forums limit.

How do I downgrade pics to fit or just have people give me their e-mails, I will e-mail them to you!

Here are the pic that Foreverfalcon40 wanted to post. I am almost sure it is the O2 Housing and I am not sure how to answer is question, so hopfully someone else can. Sorry man. If you have any more pics you got my email.

I thought the j- pipe bolts to the turbo?

Well anyway this pipe is coming up from the Downpipe into the engine bay. Help me please.

I have been doing a lot of looking for you man and I am not sure what to tell you. If that is the stock O2 housing then it might be ported, but it doesn't look like it is. The only way I can think of to really tell is to measure the ports and compare them.
