16g help

i am just trying to figure out up to what psi is a 16g effective my buddy saide anything over 18psi on a 16g is a waste of time cause the air that comes out is so hot it dosent make any power...i just wanna know like how many pounds off boost is efficient on a 16g thanks

I ran 22psi awhile back on pump gas with a decent size intercooler.

I'm sorry to tell you this but your buddy doesn't know what he's talking about...16g's wake up around 18 psi.And can be ran up to 30 psi...at 30psi it pretty uch maxed out, unless you get it clipped..But If you planiing on running 30 psi + I would just get a different turbo..

If your on stock equipment you can only expect to run around 15psi anyways..

If you run 30psi it will taper down tho. I plan on running mine around 23psi if I can.

You could also get a water injection in your cooling system tract if you want to use your 16g to it's maximum without the FMIC and get some extra protection in the process.

i have a fmic and im running 22 psi and im not turning but 14.3s at 101.2 mph i mean clutch isnt slipping and im leaveing the light at 4500 on the 2 step....idk whats going on the only thing i can think of is the air temp is to high when entering the motor...
