16 gauge or 14 gauge

Im looking into buying SS exhaust pipe. I found unpolished 14gauge pipe for under 40$ for 5 feet but i think thats kinda thick isnt it? and its unpolished. It sounds more like fence piping? anyone know the difference in gauges or have recomendations?

RRE (www.roadraceengineering.com) has good quality piping.. .and I htink its cheaper than what you are describing. Maybe check there first.

well i dont see any straight piping there but i could have missed it. I also found SS 18 gauge piping. What is the best to go with Gauge wise? I dont want all the heavy weight of 14 gauge but the strenght and long life might be nice
