Hello friends !

I do have an analog boost gauge installed in my car and I'm planning to change it's brand because it's larger than the A-pillar I purchased.

I'm willing to get a Cobalt Autometer and I need some advice.

Should I get a digital one or can I keep the analog ? I plan getting ECMLink later. Will it affect this ?

Thanks !

Mechanical or digital is up to you. I prefer mechanical but that just me.

If you plan to run speed density, you'll be able to log boost with the MAP sensor anyway. I don't know if digital boost gauges can log through link or not.

Depends if the gauge is electrical and if it's MAP sensor is supported.
I know AEM is however, the AEM MAP gets finky when it's signal is shared with two sources.

I've had both and prefer my AEM Tru Boost. I had a Pro Sport Premium before, it was slow to respond and felt cheap.

so if running SD we dont technically need a Boost Gauge because we can log our map sensor?? In my case i have a omni 4 bar so i wouldnt need to have a gauge? Is that what your trying to say. Just trying to get my head on straight here.

Its still a good idea to have a boost gauge because you probably won't have your computer beside you all the time.

It all depends on what you are planning on doing.

Get a digital gauge if you plan on getting the Link V3, you can have the ECU target a boost point using the signal from your digital boost gauge.

Else, i would go with an analog for just a reference.
