Ok so i have a question about my boost. So i took out my manual boost control because i would turn it all the way down and i was still boosting at 15 psi at wot, about 10 half throttle. after i took out the boost controller my boost gauge is still showing the same. I have a pro comp boost gauge and boost on there does not match what is being shown on the stock dash boost gauge. Any help on this matter? Possible waste gate sticking?

The stock boost gauge is just the computer guessing on the air flow numbers matched to the stock turbo. It is by no means even close to accurate.

Trust your boost gauge, even if its a cheapy is probably a good bit more accurate.

Keep in mind, with a boost controller you can only go as low as the wastegate spring is set. By what you have stated it is purely a wastegate issue. Either not enough range of motion or the opening just cant flow enough air.

Are you still on the stock turbo? I'm assuming so because your profile says stock. Invest in a wideband and see what your fuel air ratio is. If it's not too lean leave it alone. External wastegate will be pretty expensive. Get something to tune with over an external wastegate. V3 lite isn't too expensive and would be a great investment. That way you can leave your boost alone and make sure it's not lean. As long as it's not lean you can run 15psi perfectly fine. I don't know about the 1g's but on my stock t25 I ran 14psi dialy with a stock fuel setup.

I've got the tdo5h 16g on the car, I am running a wideband and I am not running lean, in fact I am running a bit rich. I know I need to run emclink with data logger and all, but other things are more important at the time. I'm fine with boost where its at, I was only looking at turning boost down temporarily until I got a few things fixed.

In my 1g the boost gauge that came in the car (sunpro) isn't accurate at all. First day I took it out I hit 30+lbs of boost according to my aftermarket gauge (stock 14b). Now it says 21-22 running off the wastegate while my factory boost gauge is still under 14 "lbs"

Your factory boost gauge knows nothing and will never read over 14psi, even that is just the computers best guess. The factory gauge is just a calculated value based on completely stock car specifications. It is in no way reliable or accurate.

Not saying your sunpro is but i definitely wouldn't trust the stock gauge.
