Just installed a boost gauge for my first time. It came with the car, looks cheap. At idle its at -5 and it goes up to 21 at full throttle. It is a stock t25 with the BC restrictor removed. Does this sound right?

Also the line I T'd into goes from the FPR to the intake. It is a 6 bolt and there's no line going from the fuel solenoid to the fpr.
 
Everything stock and properly connected (no boost/vacuum leaks) you should see -20 to -24hg at idle and about 12-14 @ WOT. So it is either wrong, or you have a hone in the line feeding the wastegate. This will cause the boost to spike and bad vacuum numbers
 
It looks like a cheap piece of sh*t, LOL

Not sure if its t'd in at a good spot either. And there is no vacuum nipple at the P on the TB.
 
FPR is one of the most common, easiest, and most reliable source for a boost gauge. How's your idle? If you're idling under 1k RPMs I would hurl it. Even with aftermarket cams, there's no way you're idling at 5 inHg unless you have a serious leak.
 
Throttle body shaft seals Are leaking.

My fpr isn't ran off the solenoid. It goes directly to the intake. Is that still good for the boost gauge?
 
Is the P port on the throttle body just open ? Plug it up or use it for a boost gauge source and just leave fpr straight to intake manifold if you want, ive done that. Check for for other boost leaks and if you are still at -5 at idle, it is probably junk like the guys are saying .
 
The vacuum nipple from P is no longer there. I guess ill wait and see after i rebuild the TB. I have glowshift gauges in my TA, so ill probably get one of their boost gauges.
