Alright, I want to go with a b16g turbo of course , but I want to do a lot of mods at the same time and to save on cash I was going to put a 14b turbo in place of my t25 that came stock on this 1995 Talon TSI AWD I just picked up. The turbo seems to be ready for replacment , that is why I want to just put a cheaper replacment on it for the time beeing , car has 112,000 miles on it , got it from the original owner (old lady) and the car is bone stock , but when she was done driving it she never let it run , and im pretty sure turbo = done .

So my question here is if I get the 14b turbo will I notice any performance upgrade, what kind of boost can it handle, will I need the 2g install kit for the turbo, and will the b16g bolt right on when I get it.

And what is the main difference between the t25 and 14b?

I am replacing the manifold with a header type manifold with the td05h flange. also doing the greddy intercooler piping w/ bov and replacing the stock smic with a bigger smic, new metal intake with k&n cone filter, also putting a boost/air fuel gauge, 3'' downpipe, 3'' catback, and replacing my head gaskets, also with any other gaskets I take off.

Stock injectors and a 190 at 15-16-17 psi should be okay, but get a logger just to be sure. I'm running the 14b/190/stock injectors at 15 psi and no complaints.

Ok considering I just rebuilt my engine and installed a 14b. Ill help you guys out. I got my 14b with the j pipe and return line. I'll try and remember what i had to use. I had gotten a 97-99 lower ic pipe before. becuz our 95-96 have that ### silencer down there. I managed to stretch my LICP up to my j pipe. Everything fine there. I think all i really needed to buy was some transmission hose and i actually had that laying around. I basically just mismatched the t25 water lines and the 14b water lines. I believe i used the stock 14b front coolant hose and cut or bent it to almost match up to the stock t25 water line that comes off the block. The i used a t25(?) water line on the top to curver over towards the thermostat housing, some cutting involved with a hacksaw, nothing hard and all. I then used hose clamps and transmission hose to connect them to their counterparts. It was in all honesty not hard at all. And considering i spent....$2 instead of like $100 something for the damn kit. Im happy. at only 14psi it pulls damn hard too. Ill see if i have any pics and post them up. Ill try and get some good angles for you guys too.

My T-25 was on 15psi, 190, and stock injectors for a long time and ran great! I have seen a 14B on a 2g with some supporting mods go well at about 16-17psi.
