Ok so im about to put on my 16g with 560cc injectors and 255fp i wil be using Safc II, i also have some supporting mods if you look in my profile, my one question is do i need to absolutly run a AFPR?!?! i plan on running 16-17 psi. Also will my stock head gasket and head studs allow me to run that much boost?
Thanks

Yes you do need the AFPR if you are using the 255lph fuel pump. The AFPR has nothing to do with how much boost you are running. It is needed because the 255 pump has to much flow and will overrun your stock FPR. As far as needing to upgrade the head gasket and studs, that shouldn't be needed. Good luck:thumb:

Try not to bump, it's against the rules. Search, that should be part of the rules as well considering this question has been asked TOO MUCH. You do not need to worry about replacing HG or Head Bolts/studs till around 20 psi because your head will start to lift. But you do need an AFPR with a 255 lph fuel pump. An evo pump or a walbro 190 you can do with out an AFPR. I can vouch for that personally.

Im using the 255 hp w/install kit from extreme psi, i saw you mentioned lph, but what you guys think about this product

ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR FPR AFPR FREE GAUGE:eBay Motors (item 370267283406 end time Oct-28-09 20:44:04 PDT)

Get yourself a REAL fuel pressure regulator, like a fuelab or aeromotive, the ebay ones suck.
And why did you go with just 560cc injectors when for the same price you can get 650's ?

i got these for $100 and i figure it would not take to long to tune with them since im usung safc II and plus i plan on running 17-18psi i think they will do just fine.

I just dont know how my buddy with his 2g is running a 60 trim with the 255 hp fuel pump and he is on stock fpr with safc tune. and car runs fine

I'll tell you, he is running as rich as Bill Gates. Like previously stated, the Wally 255 will overrun the stock fpr. Either get a (Quality: Aeromotive is my choice) FPR or get a different pump wally 190 or evo. As for the head studs and gastket, I don't think you will need that till you put a real turbo on there.

BTW: If you want to be the guinie pig for an ebay FPR by all means. You can do a write-up for fall of us not stupid enough to test it on our own car ROFL.

+1 on Aeromotive

I got a fuel lab and am having starting problems. Contacted fuel lab and their support is not very good. :notgood:

Good Luck
