Edit: Due to a situation where I either took it or watched it go to someone else I went ahead and purchased it. Should I have waited, maybe, but this is not my DD, so worst comes to worst, this will just force me to get (more like happily get) a 6 bolt swap in this instead.

So I had asked your advice once before, and listened to wait, and now a different talon has appeared. I understand this one inherently comes with more issues due to the status of the car, but i'm looking for a project car anyways, and it seems that everything else being in good shape for a project candidate over the engine seems ok. Here's the listing... (1900$, 110k miles)

Whats wrong with the engine? Also, wtf is the 1g door handle have to do with anything?
 
I would check for any rust, especially shock towers and frame. Then if everything checks out good i would offer 1600$. Those parts are worth quite a bit and if the shell is in good condition, I think it would be worth it the money. Hows the transmission?
 
I like how everyones throwing a dollar figure at this... No one knows whats wrong with the engine/head...
 
I jumped the gun and got it before I could talk him down more. I'm content on price personally.
