14b turbo psi?

hey , If you were to take the 14b turbo and hook it up to a gauge without mbc, what can the 14b turbo psi be because im getting my mbc tuned and im hooking it up to my compressor and setting the compressor at the flow rate of the turbo, just need to knwo what the 14b turbo will create.

On my last 2g I was able to rev spool my t25, I think it went up to about 12psi, its was hilarious cause I've never seen a turbo do that, but the t25 spools so quickly that it can happen.

The 14b however, I don't believe it wil rev spool that high, but you might get a pound or two out of it.

What the op is trying to accomplis is just something that has resulted from a lack of knowledge, we just gotta lead him in the right direction. If he chooses to not listen to other dsmers who know from experience, then that's his choice, and this thread should be closed.

Of course this is all my opinion.
 
what im trying to accomplish is to set my boost control without have to drive the car just set with a compressor and put it on.

I know this thing is over a month old, but in case anyone reads this for reference, here is something that I recently posted in another thread that may help:

Ummm... not really.

You'd think so, but in fact the boost controller reacts dynamically. For one thing, you have a varying amount of resistance being caused by exhaust flow against the wastegate flapper which must be taken into account, along with different flapper surface areas, different vac line diameters/lengths, exhaust backpressure, turbine efficiency, amount that the flapper opens, etc. etc. (Incidently, some of these same factors are why one person's car will have crazy boost creep and a similar car won't).

You can use an air compressor and a decent low pressure gauge to get in the ball park (maybe...depending on your setup), but it will not be the actual amount of pressure required to balance the system at some desired boost level. The true amount of pressure in the MBC line needed to overcome the return spring and open the wastegate will be a result of the combination of many factors.
