Before I start my mod list does not reflect my current setup.
So I recently took my 1g to the 1/4 mile to get some passes in and I was a bit disappointed. The car currently has a junkyard 6 bolt (completely unopened stock), FP manifold, E316g, tial external wastegate, ets front mount, fic 1050's, EVO 1 Gearset trans and dsmlink on SD. Its tuned to 21psi on 93 pump gas(not perfect). My main question is should I be disappointed with 12.4's @ 112 on street tires and pump gas? How quick have people gone on pump gas E316g setups? Also had trouble with 60fts on the track. The tacky surface made the car bog and I couldn't get the car to work properly on this surface. I have lots of luck with launching the car on the street. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Ya bro the 1.8 60' are killing your e.t., if you can get down to low 1.7 or even 1.6 you should have enough for high 11 passes. Seems like your top end isn't pulling to strong though, do you have a log you can post of the runs. It's possible your clutch is slipping thru the power Band alittle. With adding the bc272's to my old setup I was seeing 112-3ish mph thru the traps, so I would think yours could be higher. How many times have you been to the track? Either way bro its a good start and the more seat time you get the more you will improve your times. :)

Thats pretty good in my opinion especially on a stock 6 bolt longblock.....if you can switch to e85 or if its available in your area, that would make the biggest diffrence. Other than that good job!
 
It's better then I can get with my 20g if it makes you feel better haha.

I went in with a sketchy tune and only had 1 tuning run though. Going again tomorrow. If I ran your time with my 20g on pump I would be pretty happy. I only get 91 octane though.
 
No, not at all.

I was trapping 110.8mph with my 2g on a similar setup, 20psi and 93oct (saw spikes to 22). I have way worse 60-fts than you do, too. LOL! For pump gas, that's really not bad at all!
 
The clutch may be slipping slightly through 3rd and 4th but I'm not really sure. I may replace the organic disk with a Kevlar. I think the evo 3rd and 4th gear might be too much gear for this setup as well. I've only had the car to the track twice and for some reason both times the first launch off the highway is always the best last time it was a 1.80 and this time a 1.79 but I can't repeat them and the car knocks and pulls timing in 3rd and 4th on those runs.
 
Yes I'm using nlts I may turn off the Antilag between shifts as I feel like it can't recover timing right away. I really need to learn the starting line. The car launches totally different I the street.
 
I noticed with nlts if I didn't get my 1st to 2nd shift absolutly perfect, I would see knock thru the rest of the run. But when I did get it same tune and all i wouldn't knock, I also turned anti-lag off. When getting the shifts perfect I wouldn't really loose boost anyway. Just a thought bro, and that's the one thing about the track it can be prepped alittle diff every time some guys put alot of vht down and some guys don't. Plus after any big dragsters make runs the start will become very sticky.
 
They prepped the shit out of the track. They were running a 9" nightmares class as well as outlaw test and tune. An outlaw class fbody pulled a 1.09 60ft clicked off early and ran 5.49 @ 90mph in the 1/8. Track was good, car worked pretty good, needed driver mod and some higher octane. I believe.
 
I've trapped a little bit higher than you on a worse turbo, but those times look good to me for stock head/bottom end/etc. Toss some cams in there, and get that 60's down into the 1.6-low 1.7 region and you'll be into the 11's easy.



My benefit though is I'm Auto w/ shift-box. Even then my track prep was shitty compared to yours so if I launched with too much boost I would just spin my ass off. Trapped 91mph in the 1/8th at one point but had a terrible ET, haha.
 
Ya that's definetly a sticky track then bro! Lol. Driver mod is always the best one to work on! I ran 100oct or would mix 91pump (all we get in Hawaii) and toluene, both worked very well. But the toluene price went up so it wasn't worth it anymore. I would just lower your tire pressure alittle at a time and see how that helps and just work on driving the car. Like others have said your doing good bro and low 12's on pump and street tires is nothing to :( upon. Keep us updated bro!

You're mad at a 112 trap on pump gas with no cams? That's pretty good IMO. Dump some corn in the tank and then you'll be happy haha.
 
With 91 pump and meth injection and 272 cams i trapped 119 with my 16g. Full weight all option 1g. And my tubby 220lb arse in it. :D

Slap some meth injection on there, drop timing, and crank the boost up! The E316G really wakes up at 25+.

Would spike to 35ish and then settle to 27ish by redline.
