No love for me? I sold you the proportioning valve LOL. Congrats on the PR! 1.4 60' is hauling ass out of the hole! Teach me how to launch? :p

My bad! Big thanks to this guy for selling me a proportioning valve so I could slow and stop the car! Ha ha!

As for launching now I set my bar high and I better prove I can continue doing it! But it's all about power off the line, slipping the clutch efficiently, and having awesome slicks!

and having awesome slicks!

Your welcome hahaha

Really though, I'd rather see more threads started like this with a new PB. I hope you can keep things together and give it another run at it soon.

Have you figured out your plan of action?

Despite my better half disapproving I've been pricing out roll bar ideas. From pre-made to chassis shops. Not exactly cheap, plus the harness and jacket. Anyone want to be added to the "sponsor" list ha ha. In seriousness it'll probably be well over a month, maybe considerably longer before I see a track again :(

Spark angle is most crucial to torque production as it determines how and when cylinder pressure builds, peaks and then falls off in terms of the optimal rod/crank leverage angles.

I agree 100% with you on that. That's why i only give my engine what it likes and not what i would've liked :thumb:

You think about not getting a cage and just running NT all the time LOL, The thought of the cage adding wieght would turn me off, I already got a warning to slow down at the track luckily it was the last run, but im trying to make the car lighter not heavier LOL

Also you mentioned you borrowed QTPs before, I am assuming it was a 26" diameter, how do you like going from that big a tire to a 24.5" tire? I am in the process of going down in tire size from a QTP to an M/H, curious how you liked the switch.

One more thing, do you read spark plugs after a pass? My friend has really gotten into it recently, from the little reading I've done seems like its a really useful tool to have under your belt!

Nope, the running NO ET thing to me was a one time offer just so they didn't have to feel bad that I paid and only got two passes. Adding cage weight is a pay to play thing. There is a reason for safety gear once you're this quick, as I witnessed that night when the guy crashed. Without his roll cage he probably would not have walked away with just a sore back and a headache. All it takes is a little fluid on the track that they missed. Although I'll be adding some weight in I'll be able to take enough out still that the car will continue to be lighter.

It's tough to make a direct comparison. These M&H's are way stickier then the qtp's that I ran. I do believe my mph would have been a bit higher on the qtp's but with the gearing change I don't think the ET would have been as good. So far it's a :thumb: to the 24.5" tire!

Last thing, I've never messed with the plugs. Something I'll probably learn someday but right now I'm not buying a set of plugs for every pass which is the only real way to read plugs.

Congrats man! You have my old 14b time beat by over a second. And you just went quicker than I ever have with my big holset turbo. Shows that 60' times are everything. My next trip out will also be on m&h slicks, looking for a 10sec pass.
Keep it up man.

Thanks Travis! I assume your car is still comfortable on the street though! The 60' definitely played a huge roll. The M&H slicks are legit, you'll love them. I look forward to reading about your 10 second pass!

What compound is everyone on, so I can get a set ordered?

Ya I can get you hooked up on tires. The compound on the 24.5x8.5 is the M&H HB-11 compound. Its pretty sticky and doesnt require huge burnouts to get hot. Good for Awd and Fwd cars. M&H also has drag radials if ya needed something DOT.

Talk to arfwd, he'll hook ya up. But, these are the m&h full slicks, no dot stuff here.

Thanks Shane :thumb:

I just ordered my 26X10s today for the fwd. Time to get her to hook.
