What type of plugs and range are they? Were you running on the stock 2nd gen rear end or did you do a 1st gen swap?

He is running 11.5:1 AFR's. That means he is definitely maxing his injectors, or his fuel pump cannot keep up.

Exactly...My fuel pump could possibly have not been able to keep up, but that will be no problem now, trust me.

Plugs were just some BPR7ES that I had laying around. I normally run 8ES, and will be switching to something else soon. And yes, that was a stock 2g rear end.
 
Ahh some more pics for you guys. First is gsxnate99 (Nathan) sandblasting. He kinda looks like a lawn gnome. Second is me sitting in the engine bay and gsxnate99 and MotownTSI (John), chillin in the sunroof opening, pondering. Third is what happens when you get fed up with the chassis harness and cut it out entirely. Fourth is the engine bay prepped for paint. And last is the what's left of the interior.

Would it be possible to see what kind of deadtime you're running and what your dsmlink sliders are setup like?
 
That has to be the ugliest set of DSMLink parameters that I've ever seen. About the only thing I could find that matches the car is the SG of the fuel. Maybe that's my problem: too much concern about making the settings match the car. Because I can't imagine 20 degrees of timing on pump at 29 psi using my set-up.

WTF Well I thought I seen the car pulled apart in the past....but this takes the cake...That looks like it was a lot of fun :thumb:
 
Dsmlink estimates idc's from the deadtime and global settings. I'm glad to see someone else is having the same basic problem. Dsmlink is telling me that with my 3076r I'm getting 117% duty cycle with fic850's-and I'm running h20/meth injection. The highest my airflow has been so far is 56.5lbs at 30psi, and thats on a calibrated maf. Since my a/f is right at 11.5 measured by wideband I guess I shouldn't worry about the weird numbers.
 
Congrads on the great numbers. Car looks great can't wait to see how it goes with the new set-up.
 
Looks very sweet and clean as a whistle..how do you get the trans that clean or is that a new one.?
Wow..mine looked decent on stand but then reality set it.Decided not to clean my tranny as getting new shep or tre one next year anyway.
 
Not a new tranny, just prepped and painted. The funny thing is, I think the paint holds up better than the coating it came with from Shep. Thanks for the compliment ;)
 
Well it's basically the same, so I don't think a start-up video is really necessary, but ask and you shall receive.

We're in need of more parts but the wiring is definitely coming along and the dash is back in. We're getting there boys....

Sorry it's been a while since my last update. I've been buried DEEP in my wiring hell. It's getting real close to running, another day and it will start. Then it's off to get the cage. Here's a new random pic of the motor with some of the wiring roughed in, it will all be loomed in the end, as well as the coil on plug on there and stuff. Also, a new pic of the dash more or less finished, I just need to permanently mount the PLX and profec in there.
