i feel you MAN... even though you got through the whole engine and put things back together back to how it was... it may still give you problems... thats why i have my gst parked most of the time and use my honda....Ok so I hopped in the car yesterday after doing some work around the house. Decided I would start her up just to see what would happen. Low and behold, she fired right up and idled like a champ. I went ahead and replaced the coil packs and the ignition control module today as those were among the VERY FEW things I didnt replace with new during my rebuild. The good news is this seemed to fix the small miss I used to have at idle. No telling if it was the cause of my problem the other day leaving me with a $100 tow bill though. On the downside, the engine still seems to want to die or at least bog down when pressing the clutch at idle/coming to a stop. You can clearly see on DSMLink when at idle (approx 988RPM) and you press the clutch it will drop down to about 785RPM. Still wondering on this one. Hopefully I can figure this part out, but Im still wondering what the cause of the bogging/bucking was the other day trying to leave work......... This car is a effing money pit to say the least...... With as much time money and effort as I have spent on it now it should run like a champ...... Hell I probably could have paid cash for a nice lightly used BMW by now....... :sigh:
i only use my gst for the weekend... but sometimes im scared to because i dont want to get stranded... so i just decide to use my civic.....!!!!!! fun yet economical... people give eclipses proper maintanence yet they keep fu&#ing up all the time... imo.... i love how she pulls but id rather take it easy and not risk it...!!!!! GOOD LUCK MAN..!!!!Sounds like crankwalk.. but seems a little sketchy though, to happen that fast? What was the code it threw? That might explain something.

What about his origional description makes this "sound like crankwalk"? When I read it, I didn't see any symptoms that could be related to CW. This is exactly why CW got so over blown with these cars, everytime someone has an issues, its always CW
It appears that since it threw a code, you have a good idea of where to start.
