My car is running very very slowly for some reason and has trouble ideling. It doesnt stall or anything, but it feels like its only running off of 1 or 2 cylinders. Could that possibly be because of my O2 sensor? Or could it be something else??

do a compression test, and is your car throwing any codes?

Yeah, its throwing a misfireing code.. i think its 46

And im sorry, im a noob with DSM cars. I know a little bit, but not a ton. how would i go about doing a compression test? and is it terribly hard to do?

If it's misfiring I'm gonna say the ignition coil is bad, know anyone with a coil you could try? Compression test's are easy, go to orillies or auto zone and rent a compression tester, do a dry test, no oil in the cylinders, and crank the car over with the ignition fuse pulled on the battery terminal. The red 3 fuse terminal that bolts down to the battery has the fuse in it.

Yeah, i tried someone elses ignition coil, that didnt work. Also replaced the spark plugs. And that would make sense that im not getting enough compression. If thats the case, I would have to rebuild the whole block, wouldnt I? And would it make any sense at all that it could be the 02 sensor?

i dont think the o2 sensor would do that, if u changed the plugs u might want to change the wires too hopefully thatll do it but you might have a cylinder problem and you could buy some lucas cylinder lube its only 6 bucks you nevr kno it might help!

Something you can do, to see if your plugs are actually firing. Pull the spark plugs out and leave them plugged in. Lay them on the valve cover so they are grounded, and then watch the plugs (it helps if its darker) and have someone try to crank the motor. You should see each of them spark, that should help narrow down your issue.
