.008 crank endplay...7 bolt

Well I tore apart my 7 bolt block last night and checked the endplay. I got a reading of .008. What do you guys think? The manual has a limit of .007. I figures with new bearings, I may be alright.

Just curious what did you pull it apart for? What are you going to do to it?

Just build a 6 bolt instead - why take a chance ??

How many miles are on the block? What are your goals?
If this is a DD build, I really wouldn't be worried about that .001 but if you're planning something really fun you ought to consider an alternative block.

I have a FP big T28 so my goal is about 300-350 whp running about 20 psi. I pulled it apart because I didn't have the funds to have a new block. The car has about 185k but I bought the car about a year ago and the previous owner said this was a 'newer' engine with about 90k on it and I've put about 15k since then. So according to his statement the engine should have about 105k but I think it's the original block. I'm going to be running Evo 9 internals, act 2100, act flywheel, ACL Race bearings just to name a few things related to the 'crankwalk' theory.
