Excessive Crank Endplay After Rebuild

Ok so rebuild 7 bolt. Cylinder 4 is missing because it needs a new rod bolt ( I tore it apart again because I had to replace the rings due to massive blowby) but i thought id measure the endplay just since when I drove it when the rebuild was initially done, the rpm's would drop real fast every time the clutch was pushed in...so i measured the end play and when i would pry on it, the whole damn thing would move. it moved .050 in one way....i could pull on the harmonic balancer and move the whole crank back and forth slightly.. now since i have brand new bearings (ACL Tri-metal race) in there with 400 miles why is this happening??..what do i need to do??..besides get a 6 bolt..??

There could have been some type of oiling issue which caused this to happen among other things. It's not fair to say " 7bolt crankwalk" just yet.
I'd start by dropping the oil pan and start inspecting

Was the block machined properly and the crank balanced? The stock 7 bolt crank usually is bad due to the bearings that grind it down. Look at the crank where the main bearing belongs. Don't be surprised if it feels uneven. That's crank walk at it's best.

The pan is off. the main bearings are still on so i cant look at the crank. .055 in one way .045 in the other. ahhh.

Was there any machine work done?

Ya...mill the head, bored, honed, decked the block, rods reconditioned/shot pene, crank was grinded, balanced, flywheel pretty much everything.
