hey i have herd from some ppl that if u nitride the crank on a 7bolt that the 7bolt motor would then have the ability to be better then the 6bolts. is there any truth behide this?

The 7bolt crank is 5 lbs lighter than the 6bolt.The problem is'nt with the crank it's the rods and block that it gets bolted to.If you could put the 7bolt crank in a 6bolt block you'd have something. If you get the center main journal opened 2mm or .080 the 7bolt crank will drop in a 6bolt block.I've done it.
