7-bolt crank weakness

Ok so i'm not sure if my car has crankwalk or a spun rod bearing, the car hesitates to start and the oil light came up when i started it, i stepped on it and it turned off after the run, it then had this loud claking sound from my oil pan area.

Anyways should i replace the crank with another 7-bolt crank?
or should i put in a stroker kit?

I was thinking 6-bolt but it would cost too much to do, will i be at risk of crankwalk with a 2g 2.3 stroked motor?

Is it worth to stroke a 2g or just put in a regular 7-bolt crank?

You can check the crank pully and see if it moves side to side and measure it. As far as the rest I am not too sure about. I would think that you would still be at risk of crankwalk with the 2.3. I am in the process of fixing a spun rod bearing, and right when it happened my car died, and then like 2 more times after starting it back up. It did make a very loud clanking noise. I did a search and found a vid clip on here that was the exact same sound as mine, you might want to try and search for it. Best of luck, JB

I had the same problem with my 98 eclipse GST and it turned out to be my oil pump that had gone bad, the bearings werent getting the oil they needed to lubricate properly so they started making a loud knocking noise. I rebuilt the same 7 bolt engine with forged pistons and rods and havent had any problems to this date.
