What happened to the rubber gasket that goes between the hangar, and the tank?

Yea sorry, I was asking if anyone has had a leak through the top like that before or has any knowledge on it.

Overfull tank? - with a bad seal between tank and pump hangar - is the hangar seated all the way into the tank? Did the pump bottom out - badly? noisy?

I've had mine leak in that case,

The pump et all has gotta fit all the way into the tank, and make a level seal on top of the gasket - then you spin the white collar down as far as you can by hand, then whack with a 3/8 wratchet extnesion, or a fat common screwdriver with a plastic hammer until it stops getting tighter

So what was it?
