Hey thank you for the help, I actually went to check out the car yesterday and the cel light is on and the codes it’s showing are p1104 and p1105. Could the vacuum leak be the cause of the codes?

Final update...I think I've most certainly found the problem. The wire on the harness side of the knock sensor plug, was apparently damaged enough to not be making a good connection with the plug pin but it hadn't pulled out of the connector...

Makes a lot of sense for them to pay employees a fixed hourly rate to do all the work. That industry probably doesn't have a lot of hobbyists making big money. Maybe some small enterprises going all in on some ideas and selling their own...

Not a scan. That’s done the old fashioned way which is most of why I’m not providing the file. As it sounds like you are aware, that’s not done in a few minutes. There’s a lot of time in that model creation.Anyone else with a set of...

Probably a bit more money involved in that industry :)

  • To answer differently, my 1999 eclipse Gst has different cooling fan connectors than the 1995 eagle talon tsi from the junkyard. I bought the metal shroud condenser fan and took the connector and had to re pin the connector to work on my 1999...

Do you think I should reroute an entire new wire from the ECU to the sensor? If so, what's the best way of doing this in your experience or is there anything to keep in mind? For instance, this is definitely a different wire than the rest, do you...

Also, I called a local Mitsu dealer and the parts guy gave me to seemingly useful links for terminals and connectors that I will put here for helping future people. You must be registered to see element. You must be registered to see element.

The plastic cap with the black wire and “shield” wire are factory. There is a few ground connections like this buried in the harness in the nearby area. You must be registered to see element.-Daniel
  • Gotta love aftermarket parts sometimes. It's really fun when motor mount brackets don't line up right and you have to grind the holes.

I'm really surprised we don't have more 3D printed parts stores popping up in the DSM world for plastic parts like this. Seems like a great opportunity for those who have a good amount of experience with 3D printing.

Alright, I'm still searching while waiting for ppl to get back to me about my tune settings and I think my problem may actually be my knock sensor wiring. My code from above came back and when I inspected my wire at the ECU it looked pretty...

Some posts across the site about the 2G timing belt mid-cover lately. Worked on this one last year but have not made any further attempts to verify its accuracy. I know it’s missing at least one feature that shouldn’t be too difficult to add...

I am not sure if the Fidanza 6 bolt and 7 bolt flywheel have the same flange thickness or not, but assuming the thickness is the same, you may need to use a flex plate adapter from auto transmission car if you would go with Toyota 3S bolts (ARP...
