ok so i blew up my first motor with 103 k on it. i figured it was crank walk but now im not positive. it blew the balance shaft out of the rear of the block(pics look pretty cool) and blew 2 holes in the front of the block which one of the pieces cut the front radiator hose(small one next to oil pump). i pick up another 7 bolt with 72k with great compression. i figure that this motor will be great for me. it lasted 73 miles until it blew up in the exact same place but this one i knew what the sound i heard was so i got the motor off quicker. it only blew the rear balance shaft area of the block off but the balance shaft stayed in the motor. both times happened in the exact same spot on the freeway, and both were downshifting from 5th to 4th gear. anyone know what might be the common theme here?
