2G Your Remote IAC Setup?

Hey there,

Anyone happen to be running a Honda B-Series remote IAC instead of the factory ISC? Any photos of your setup you wouldn’t mind sharing?

Given the lack of replies I'd guess not. One reason might be that the Honda ISC isn't stepper motor based, so connecting it isn't going to be straight forward and using the ISC connector may fry the drivers on the ECU.

I'm actually on a FuelTech ECU with a custom harness. I talked to one of their technicians yesterday, and it turns out there is an adapter kit that I'm pretty sure is supposed to be mounted to the intake manifold. I'm linking it below, and I'll post a picture here when I figure out how it fits on my car

Yeah, I should have included that.

Apparently Jason Drew has figured it out on his FT setup as well, though he took more of a custom approach that looks pretty good.

Yup I have the B series IAC on my car, works like a charm BUT it needs to be PWM driven, so I don't think there is a way to do it with the stock ECU, if you're on an FT all you need is ground and one yellow output set to 12v. I don't have pics of the lines run but one goes to a port on the TB just before the throttle blade and the other to one of the 1/4" npt ports on the underside of the intake manifold.

straight in.

For PWM control a relay isn't going to work.

Oh, nice. That’s pretty neat.

This is how I have mine set up for now. Pretty sure I’ve got it right. Screen hole to the manifold, other one to atmosphere.

Still working out a couple things in the engine bay pertaining to my wiring harness, so it’s not all tidy quite yet. No problems connectivity-wise with the software though, so I think we’re good.
