I've added the following:

TurboXS H-34 BOV
TurboXS HPBC (at 15 psi)
Upper IC piping with 3" throttle body elbow
2.5" catback with N1 muffler

How many horses do you think were added with this setup?

Steve

Guess I have to dig up my dyno slip for the haters.

Moderators, feel free to close this thread.
I'm not hating Im just saying those few mods will NOT get you 60 WHEEL horse. the 195 stock is at the flywheel, I guess some people dont realize there is a difference. :thumbdown

"Dig up" the timeslip? Did you do it a year ago? I would think you would want the moderators to keep the thread open for you to prove yourself. But that would be logical only if you did dyno the car, which its pretty apparent you didn't.

I know you were just conversing but I had to bust you on that numbers-out-of-your-ass "dyno". Go really dyno it, Im interested as to what it would be. Im guessing about 200whp. Let us know and good luck :thumb:

I think that 60hp gain is possible.........if he has enough stickers :thumb:

I only have one sticker, so that theory is shot. I dynoed two months ago, and like all the pictures that I keep meaning to post, they're still at home in a file drawer.

I guess I should have added that I have also installed an ACT 2100 and XACT lightened flywheel. I also have a 2G exhaust manifold. :D

Anyway, keep the ribbing, its all in good fun, but I asked for the thread to close because I don't want to start wars on a query thread that has not value for anyone else. OMG

When I get my pictures up and the dyno sheet, I'll be sure to let you all know. I'll PM you. I"ll email you. I send copies to your PO box. I'll call you late at night and ask you for a number where I can fax them.

I ask as a sort of test. There are so many guys on this site that amaze me with their knowledge of these cars. If someone can guess hp by looking at a mod list, that's pretty impressive.

Rather than spend money in the future to dyno, I figured I would ask for approximate hp as I continue to mod my vehicle. I realize it is not accurate, but it gives me an idea.

I won't make the mistake of asking this again, that's for sure.

Good idea. :thumb:

I apologize for my mistake, I confused the H-34 BOV for the Type H, which vents out. On another note. the stock 1g runs around 10-12 psi. If he's pushing 15 psi, thats already another 50 hp to the wheels. So 231 whp is possible with his setup.

Yeah??!! well my cars so fast it has 210hp.. I got the owners manual to prove it. LOL :D What kind of dyno was it? Mustang chassie dyno??

With the mods he has, i am guessing its gonna be around 200 whp. I dyno my car at 221.9 whp and i had more mods than he has. 221.9whp was w/ 3'' catback exhaust, 3'' dp, 24R fmic, upper/lower intercooler piping, greddy bov, 16 lbs of boost, k&n filter, injen intake, 550cc inj, 255lph fuel pump, aem fuel rail, b&m fuel pressure reg, apexi safc. With my Evo III 16g turbo i dyno at 278whp. I don't believe he will dyno over 220.

You got 230 wheel horsepower with a t-25 and those mods? I wonder what I'm at.

I get a good laugh at seeing people claim that someone is lying about a 1/4 mile or dyno figure. Wtf?

Remember that things vary from car to car. Two cars that have had many years on them have had plenty of time for things to change and lose power. There are so many factors that could make someone have more power than another person with about the same mods.

I will pretend u didnt say that, thats the stupidest thing i've heard all day. Are u seriously saying that 3 psi will add 50 wheel horse power?

First of all, this thread is over 6 months old.

And second, our cars run stock 10 psi, if you do free mods you might get 12 psi. You are totally taking what I said out of context. So from 10-15 psi, you will get 5 psi. Since every 1 psi can support approx. a 10 bhp leap. 5 psi would make a 50 bhp jump.

how much HP is lost through venting?
Its hard to say really. Venting causes you to lose power when getting back on the accelerator after letting off. So if you are at no or low boost you would lose less then you would at full or high boost. Regardless, your ECU is providing fuel for unaccounted air and you run an overly rich A/F Ratio

What does this thread being 6 months old have anything to do with ur bad advice? If u still think that its good advice then it wouldnt matter if it was 6 months old or not.

And second, a stock dsm will NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR gain 10 WHEEL HORSEPOWER from 1 PSI. EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Even with all the supporting mods i doubt u'll get that big of a gain with the stock turbo, however, with all the supporting mods, a higher boost on a bigger turbo will result in that big of a power gain.

Turning up ur boost to 15 psi WILL NOT give u 50 extra horsepower, dude ur crazy.

Have you ever even been on a dyno, adjusted fuel trims, installed fuel mods. Just because you got problems with tuning your DSM doesn't mean everyone else will...

I've raised my boost only 9 psi from stock and was founding a full 165 whp gain On a 14b. When I first got the talon it ran about 143 whp. My best run was 308.1 whp @ 19 psi.
