Yanking the Engine and Tranny

Someone who has pulled an engine and tranny from a 91ish eclipse, Does the whole thing come out the top or the bottom ?
Yes i have pulled engine and trannies before, but never on a 91 eclipse.
Everything I looked at only talks about 1 or the other coming out and not pulling both. Looks like it drops out the bottom, Is this true ? Or do I have to take them out 1 at a time ?

hook up your hoist so the engine side is a little higher than the tranny side,
start jacking, the angle should give enough room to clear the tranny side of the bay. some tugger and shoving may be necessary.

i always take the whole out the top.
and ABS car might be harder, with the abs box in the way

P.S. I don't mean to sound like I'm questioning you, Just from looking at it it looks like it would be easier out the bottom. But I do understand what you are saying and will be singing your praises in a day or 2.

You can remove the cross member and drop it from the bottom. If the car is high enough.

Does anyone happen to know what size the driveshaft nut is?

drive shaft nut? or axle nut.
vfaq.com
click on drivetrain
and axle replacement, shows the size for axle nut.

i always take mine out the top, unless you have a put, or a hydrolic lift, you wont be comming out the bottom.

the passenger side tranny mount comes off by 4 bolts inside the fender well, this is amust. cant just pull the bolt from the center.
