im currently looking to upgrade my turbo to either a 14b or a 16g. for 150 i found a 14b with all the parts. for 230 i found a 16g with all parts. both are completly rebuilt. i also found a 16g with all parts for 175 which is a deal BUT it has shaftplay the size of a finger nail and has a slight crack. sould i keep saving to get the 16 for 230 or get the used one. what are your opinions

Where is the crack and what is a "fingernails worth of play"? Personally I'd just take a good core as you are going to spend at least $40 for a rebuild kit and the housing could be trashed depending on the crack and how deep it goes.

I would contact Justin (JusMX141) about turbos if you need more sources.

just as Liquid stated you will probably have to rebuild it which can be $40 or more. Also with a crack something may need to be replaced. By the time that turbo is fixed, you would have spent more than buy a rebuilt one
