My parents bought my sister her first car and its a 2001 bug that we got for 1200 bucks because the guys thought the head was bad me knowing turbos somewhat well was almost positive the turbo was shot and thats what it was  would a stock t-25 bolt up with the vw motor? it seems to have the same j shape and im just curious if it would bolt up becuase that would save us alot of money a new vw turbo is like 400 bucks

To make any turbo work you just have to mate the exhaust side to the exhaust manifold of the vehicle. Then determine what lines you will need to run (oil, coolant, vacuum etc) and how much volume you need to run. Not quite a "bolt-on" solution.

Your best bet would be some sort of adapter for the manifold or weld your own flange. Considering the investment, you may want to consider a used OEM turbo. $400 is fairly cheap these days. However a T-25 on a Beetle would be pretty sweet :sneaky:.

Ya were just going to buy a new one LOL im not buying it its my parents that are its my sisters car the head is bad on it too it it was me It would be a good excuse to build the motor and do a big turbo setup but then again its a beetle... LOL
