Worth rebuilding an engine with 200,000km?

think of what your saying. Rebuild.. it would all be brand new. Make sure there are no cracks in the block before you spend a bunch of money on it.

The mileage of the block does not matter. Before you go ahead ordering any parts though, get the cylinders checked, make sure they are w/in spec still and can be bored over. For a 500hp engine, try to stay w/ .30 or less over bore.

Also get the crank check out to make sure it is w/ in specs. for a 500HP race engine, you want to stay away from having the crank turned down and getting oversized bearings.

Also, get the block sonic tested. This is when they test the block for unseeable cracks and other flaws. Its the best way to tell if a block is good.

If everything falls w/ in specs, then build away!

Hope this helps, Dan
