worth it to go from 1g mass to 2g mass?

so i'm about to order a chip from dsmchips and one of the options is 1g mass, 2g mass, etc etc....a buddy of mine told me to get it set for the 2g mass and then to get a 2g mass and all the other stuff that would make it work....is this even a good upgrade or am i just throwing money away?

2g mas is much better!
it flows more do a search there is lots of info on it!

Yes, its better but you need something to tweak your air/fuel. Larger MAF = less intake restriction = faster spool/more flow.

Its really hard to try to make over 250+whp w/ the stock mass on a 1g, you'll over run it and be like oh snap, too much air wow!

Steve, was your mas hacked when you laid down those numbers?

it's a plus having the 2g mas around when it comes to tuning your car. it's much bigger and allows the correct amount of air to be drawn in when your turbo is spooling.
think of it like sucking through a straw when you have the middle of the straw pinched. you have a 1g mas (very small) and a killer turbo set up spooling and sucking tons of air but your mas is restricting a large amount of the air needed to supply your turbo/engine. make sense
