I want to purchase these Piston & Rods since I plan on turbo charging my 420a early next year. They want $739 for the combo, is this reasonable?

Check it out on Ebay, 290359196094

Also, I have approximately 112,000 MILEs on my DSM. In the event that I decide it's time for an engine swap for another 420a, could I reuse the Piston & Rods I purchased?

as long as there is no questionable wear on them, reuse should be fine. you'll need to properly measure piston head's. The price is a little steep, but not crazy steep. I would say check the classifieds, but I doubt there are as many postings for wisco and eagle internals for 420a's. extremepsi.com is my favorite place to shop. Very reputable and prompt. gl

nice color combo also

That isn't a super crazy deal but it is a fair price. And yes you can re-use them as long as you haven't damaged them.

Let me know. What does everyone recommend for the bore size and compression ratio?

I see the following on the very same listed I provided,

Part # Application Bore Size Compression Ratio
K580M875 420A 87.50mm (Standard Bore) 8.8:1
K580M88 420A 88.00mm (+.020 Overbore) 8.8:1
K580M885 420A 88.50mm (+.040 Overbore) 8.8:1
K581M875 420A 87.50mm (Standard Bore) 10.5:1
K581M88 420A 88.00mm (+.020 Overbore) 10.5:1
K581M885 420A 88.50mm (+.040 Overbore) 10.5:1

I would say from what i have seen and paid that the price in your first post is high. Look around for a better deal or go down to your local machine shop and see what they can do for you. And the compression ratio depends on what your goals are.

Alright well I want to turbo charge her by early next year.

I'm currently looking for a 5speed tyranny and then fix up this oil leak before I go turbo.

Go with the lowest overbore you can to get the cylinders clean. Definitely get the 10.5's if you're going to run E85 or race gas, otherwise the 8.8's would make tuning easier.
