wiseco piston and eagle rod install ?'s

Ok. I am currently putting my 6bolt back together with wiseco pistons and eagle rods. I have a couple questions about the install.

The dots on the top of the pistons, which way do they go?
And correct me if I'm wrong but the rods don't have to go in one specific way do they?

The dots go toward the timing belt A.K.A. number 1 cyl. It tells you in the directions w/ the pistons. The rods dont have to go a certain way as they are balanced, but when I did mine I put all the logos facing the same way.

yes the dot face the front of the block... the valve relifes are diffrent sizes.. so the big relifes go on the intake and the smaller for the exhaust side.

on a 4 cylinder, the way the rods face is not that critical as it is on a V8 since each rod has it's own crank throw.

All markings (on rods or pistons) should face the front side of the engine.

My 21mm piston pin slides into my rod and has a slight drag to it. Is it enough oil clearance noup and down play at all. Is that normal?

Measure the pin, and the bore for the pin in the piston to find the clearance. Sometimes they need honed to spec. Anything else is guessing.
