I just want to make sure of this: Is it ok to combine the 2 power to the 2 ground to make it on high all the time? Also which color of the 4 wires is the ground and which is the power? :( I cant find a wiring diagram for my 2g 95 gst. This is for a spal fan.

Being very vague, looking at the back of the plug, facing with the prong up (or down). The wires on the side with the black wire are ground and the wires on the opposite are POS.

Thought of the test light but cant find one.

Also do spal fans normally come with metal brackets? If so I'm unlucky cause mine did not :( I called RRE but they're not open yet...damn california time being 3 hrs behind :( by the time they open, its almost sun down here haha..

I was going to ask the same question today.....

I actually took some pics of the fan wiring. The stock plug has 4 wires and the Spal has 2. How do we hardwire this??

(PS: in the pic, the stock wiring is on the left and the Spal wiring is on the right.)

I could be wrong, but doesn't black always mean ground? try a damn testlight if your not sure but in every wiring job i have ever done on a car the ground is always black! You seem to be making a minor setback into a all day event, most of the time if you hook a electric fan up backwards it runs backwards. Blue to blue and black to black!

Can anyone explain why there are 2 powers and 2 grounds and what will result when they are wires together??

Hi and Lo settings. I knew that already.

and mine has diff colors I do believe. I've been putting my front bumper back on and cutting it all up for my fmic. This is just as bad as cutting the pipes for the darn thing :( heh.

Anyone think I could daily drive w/o that left fan? LOL I need to hit up a home depot to find some metal pieces to mount my spal fan.

if the left fan you are talking about is the driver side than yes since it is an a/c fan and mine is broken and disconnect and been driving like that since 2 weeks. so you are okay

sorry shoulda specified better, passenger side.

I can tell you which 4 to use.. you just need to cut the plug off from the stock fan, and wire the wires from the SPAL fan to that plug. Doing it that way makes it cleaner, and easier to take out. :)

Power: Blue and Green
Negative: Yellow and Black.

If you don't want to do it that way, just put the plug on, and figure out which wires are which that way. Good luck. :)

for the passenger side.. connect both blue together and both black together... blue is positive and black is negative... but if you go with a larger spal fan that flows 1360cfm.. you need a relay and dont connect to existing fan wiring.. you will blow your fuse!! As for the AC side.. you only need two wires... the postive wire out of all four of those wires is the solid blue wire and all the rest are ground.. i just picked black to be my ground... don't have to use all 4 wires... hope this helps...

On passenger side soldier yellow and black together. Those are the negative to the passenger fan. Soldier the other two wires together, that is positive. For the drivers side, solder the black wires together and the blues together. The black ones are obviously the negative and the blues positive. Fan behavior will now be the same as factory.

Okay I'm trying to do this but I do not have a yellow wire????

How am I suppose to connect this thing? Just connect 1 wire with 1 or 2 with 1? I'm confused.
