wiring harness kits for motor swap

hey whats up guys im thinking about swapping a 4g63t into my 1.8. I know it can be done and ive heard about the painless wiring harness kits...are they hard to hook up or is there a kit specific for swapping that motor in without ripping my entire wiring harness out???

last i checked the painless kits were for swapping small block chevy's into hot rods

someone with a tsi told me about them ive never heard of them before that but if there is a place that makes a kit or something please let me know

No kits, that I've ever heard of. You need to pull the wiring from the donar car

and we are talking about the wiring for the entire car or just for the motor?

For the motor you need the dash wiring and the engine wiring

you just need the engine wiring. you only need the dash wiring if you intend to switch to the turbo cluster with the built in craptastic boost guage.
