1G Wiring 2g MAF plug and play questions.

If my 1g MAF was acting up and is the reason for the upgrade to a 2g MAF should I find another plug or should the plug from my 1g MAF still work fine.

I'm asking if since my MAF was messed up should I find another 1g plug or use the plug out of my 1g MAF.

Other than that its pretty square in my head.

As long as the wires on the plug side are still firmly connected to the plug abd do not show signs of corrosion or excessive wear i would use the one you already have.

The 1g and 2g maf plugs are different. Go on the vfaq site and check out "2G MAF in a 1G TEL/GVR4" in the intake section. There are many ways to wire your 2g maf.

How the hell do I get the 1g plug out of the MAF. I've take apart every screw on it and am now left with this.

Do I break the plastic plug casing right where it begins to go to the boards and clip the wires there?

So I busted the plug out after figuring that part out. Now is this ok to just solder to the tops of those pins that are still connected to the computer board?

Or should i remove computer board and follow lead all the way to the wires?
