Wiper fell off, need a part name.

So those little screws that hold the "mounting bracket" I'd guess you could call it backed out and my wiper fell completely off the arm. With out that damn piece I can't attach a new wiper.

Anyone have any clue what that piece is called?

As much of a pain in the a** it would be to find that particular part I would think it would be easier to just go to your local parts store and pick up a whole wiper arm. Thats my opinion.

Your nearest dealer should have complete arms in stock. They get broken often by automatic car washes and such.

You don't need the arm, just a new wiper blade with the correct adapter. The bracket and screws are usually included if you by the right blade.

I have yet to have a broken wiper arm on the 10 plus dsms that I have owned. The arm is the metal part that goes from wiper motor linkage to the blade. The blade is the assembly on the end.

Yards are a DSM owner's version of a large Toy Store.

I just wanted to check in and say I figured it out before I got back to the thread. I found Car Quest has the wiper/attachment as one piece for 8.99. It's actually a decent wiper as well.

Thanks for that link though. If I ever need one again now I know where to look and what to look for.
