man im so pissed so i goe tmy turbo in today after about a week of waiting i thought i was getting a 14b because in the pics it was stamped on the side tdo5h ok so i get it today i pull it out the box and it says TDO4HL? its def not what i thought i was bidding on but it does seem like its in good shape my question is will it bolt on to my 1998 gst with a install kit?like a 14b would? im not tryna go fast or anything my car is a auto i just needed a replacement.

From what I am reading the TDO4HL is still made by MHI they just came on different cars. Like volvos and the 3/S 3000GT. Chances as long as the exhaust flange is still the same it should mate up.

Since you can't see the wheel to measure it, it could be a 13t, 15g, or a 15t per DSMTalk. As long as you can install it and the turbo is in good condition I wouldn't worry about. You will have something special.

Why would you do all that work to make a turbo fit your car that is no bigger than the T25 that it's replacing?

I hate when people f*ck you on purpose like that. The pictures show a 14B, but that's obviously not what you received. He can port it all he wants to, there's no way to turn a 13G into a 14B. It seems he had something to hide behind that fruity, colorful listing....even if it's his own stupidity that he's hiding.


Explain the situation and if he tries to play hardball, file a paypal claim for receiving an item that is significantly not as described. Send it back for a refund and let him relist it for $30, because that's all it's worth.

It MAY mate up to your manifold, but it won't be any sort of upgrade to you at all. It's most likely a 13g from an auto 1g.

You'll still need an install kit, or you can follow the DIY instructions to modify your existing parts to make it work.

My advice? Don't use it. Get an authentic 14b or 16g or something. If you have doubts, ask us (or better yet, do a search on here) before you buy it.

DO NOT return it, he will just sell it again to someone else with that nice listing. It says no refunds? That's lame, so DO NOT RETURN IT. Just email him, let him know that you KNOW he boned you. And tell him to refund your money OR you will leave bad feedback on his ebay account AND on paypal file a claim to get your money back. I've done it before, but paypal seems to be slow and STILL owes me money for a few claims I put in. Honest business is repeated business.

To add to that. . . If you paid via paypal tell them you did not recieve the item . . . You received another one. Paypal will, should, refund you if you did not recieve the item. It clearly isnt the item listed. So you clearly didn't receive it. . .

Anyway, the oil feed line will not work, for sure. Nor will the water lines. . . I think. It's been a while since i swapped a 13g for a 14b. And as everyone said, the 14b is a 300+whp turbo and the 13g is a 220whp turbo. I'd be pissed.
