Resolved Will this JDM tranny fit my 97 GSX?

It says it'll fit the 4g63 7 bolt engines but it's JDM. Not sure if itll fit the USDM models

Hope that includes the transfer case as well.

It'll mate/bolt up to the motor no problem. The only problem I'd say with a "JDM" counter-part is the axels, and mounting positions for the motor mounts. Be prepared for some fabricating to make it work.

I have one for sale for 600 if you want it. It came out of my 97 gsx that I parted out. I have the tranny and tcase with it. Let me know if you are interested I can send you pictures.

You can get yours rebuilt for about that price... then you'd be starting fresh.

I did a write up on this earlier. If it is the MMZL trans code, which more than likely it is, it will bolt up to a 97-99.

Since our car was never made in Japan this transmission comes out of the Mistu RVR.

Hey I am currently looking for a tranny also and found this one in the city by me but like buddy I am not sure and don't wanna buy a usless part my car is a stock 97 eagle talon stock 7bolt and stock tranny in molested but I also do not kno what to look for or if I should just re build this one instead but I wanted to just get new one Because my buddy will do a tranny re and re for 300 at his shop if I bring another tranny and track day is coming up need to get this figured out and hard to use tuners off my phone
