I have been searching around and I figured that a mid 12 second dsm will beat mostly anything that lines up next to it. But here are my mods and what I am getting, I just want to know what else will be needed.

Evo3 16g
Dsmlink
act 2600
o2 dump
fmic with 2.5 inch ic pipes
hks bov
3 inch turboback exhaust
k&n filter
dejon tool intake pipe
hacked maf
mbc

Soon to get:
560cc evo injectors
wideband 02
aeromotive fpr

I want a street tune at like 20 psi, but I want to make mid to high 12's with the same tune on pump gas. Will this be good?

Bench Racing is a no no on this site. But the only way to find out is to take it to the track. I say with link get bigger injectors. Your gonna have to run race gas and go higher then 20 psi. Your probably gonna need cams. Strip the interior and use your best driving skills.

i would think 650's with DSMlink and the other mods should net you 12's... spooling might be right, cams would definently get you over the top, or just use race fuel. im assuming your using a walbro 255 with that FPR and you just forgot to list it. if not then you will need one

fuel pump?

and sorry, but what is bench racing?

Bench racing is exactally what it says, sittin around the workbench with your buddies and theorizing what mods will give you what power where and that you could beat this and that with those mods.... etc. Make sence?

We could sit here all day and argue about what car is faster than whose based on mods to the engine, but the only way to find out for sure is to RACE them down 1\4th of a mile of road.

What are your future plans for your car? will you ever go with a larger turbo and more boost? Since you have DSMLink the choice of injector sizing should be appropriated to your future goals. I would go with 660's or 720cc injectors since you have your global fuel adjustments available to you.

The AFPR is to control your new fuel pump (definitely get a 255 hp) when it overruns the stock FPR. If you're still a 6bolt with 1g ECU, your base fuel pressure should be set at 37.5psi with the vacuum line unhooked.

As long as you have those mods with a good tune, you should definitely see some good times.

With Link I would go with 720ccs. You never know where you will end up when it comes to modding your car. That should not be a problem getting you into the 12s if you driving is pretty good. Tuning is the biggest thing. Get a good tune on it, and you should hit your goal.

turbotsi92 With Link I would go with 720ccs. You never know where you will end up when it comes to modding your car. That should not be a problem getting you into the 12s if you driving is pretty good. Tuning is the biggest thing. Get a good tune on it, and you should hit your goal.

i definately agreed with turbo tsi92.

if your going to spend money and buy injectors, go bigger than you think because you can always adjust them to spray lower than they will, but you cant make 550s work like 720s.

dsmlink is a great tool to get you what you want... but only with a good tuner.

i personally have the afc neo and enjoy the 16 points of adjustment at 50rpm interverals.

but also wish i could control timing.

you can spend 2-3000 on parts and install them.. gain maybe 30-40HP... but then tune that equipment for like 3-400 for labour tuning and see another 30-50 HP!!!!

best bang for your buck.:thumb: :thumb:

720cc's are overkill for that turbo unlees you're planning on going bigger in the future. I hit 11.8@119MPH a while ago on an EVO III w/ EVO VIII(560cc) injectors at 27psi....just to let you know. Yea...bench racing = closed threads.

I am selling one of my DSMs with a similar set-up, if you're interested. I'll be getting an EVO VI instead.

Take a look at the 1/4 Mile Times list under the Bragging Rights link in the navbar. Look at the cars that run 12's and see what mods they have. It's the easiest way to get your answer. We have no idea how well you can drive, so you'll have to try and find people who have a similar mod list to what you're looking to do.
