ok so here we go again. i know another post about what turbo to get... but here it is
ok i have a 99 gst mods are :
full exhaust
16g 20psi
act2600
safc-2
225 fuel pump
aeromotive FPR
550 injectors
greedy 24v front mount
...my mods that i am getting soon are BC cams. (272/264) meth, and dsmlink and then the turbo...

im looking to make about 400hp and i want somting that is not gunna be pushing the turbo super hard to make this. i was thinkin a pte 50 trim? i want sumthing that will give me a good power range but somthing with a little bit higher power range then my 16g now.what are everyones suggestions???

I just upgraded from a evo III 16g to a bullseye hx-35. HUGH DIFFERENCE. I also have front wheel drive and it made a world of difference in reguards to wheel spin with the extra lag. but, it still hits full spool around 3800rpm and thats with my set up which i have 264/272's like you want. it's a somewhat easy install as the bullseye housing will bolt right up to your 2g mani. and 02 pipe. you can even find a oil line kit to make it a smoother install. the only down side with this big of a turbo is that you will have to dent in you water pipe a bit, and you may have fitment issues with stock cooling fans "if you still have them."
No matter what you do if your going bigger your going to want bigger injectors I personally went with pte 880cc's and your safc is going to have a hard time ( really with anything over those 550) tuning them. so dsmlink will definatly be in order. also, i did'nt see if you said you had arp head studs or not but if you go bigger your going to want the extra psi to wake that big turbo up! so i would reccomend at least the studs. your stock head gasket shoud hold to around 30psi with the studs I know from experance.
With my set up at 23psi I was pushing well into the 400's so im sure youd be happy with something similar. good luck!
