Will not start with key only when roll started whats wrong?

Its a 95 gsx... If you roll start the car it will run and drive fine but by starting with the key it wont start it will turn over but never start. It has a optima battery which is fully charged, new battery cables and a new starter which we have only attempt to try and start it twice with it.
but heres the interesting part awhile ago this summer the car stopped starting when you turned the key nothing would happen couldnt figure out why put a new starter relay in and nothing happened still. but by bridging 2 of the wires without the starter relay in the car will start but now it will attempt to start just wont unless you roll start it.

I know thats a two part question but maybe help with either one will help me figure it out.

Have you looked at the ignition switch to see if the correct terminals are getting power at the right times.

It almost sounds like you are loosing the IG1 to the ECU while the key is in START.

Sounds like the alram got tripped did u try resetin the arlam if it has that opion(some times i cant spell to good)

I looked at your original post and here's my input, Check your Ignition power transistor Connect a 1.5v power supply to terminal 3 of the ignition power transistor then check to see if there is continuity between terminal 8 and terminal 3 when terminal 7 and the positive (+) terminal are connected and disconnected connect the negative (-) probe of your ohmmeter to terminal 8 if you need any more help let me know.

Its too bad he never told if he found out what it was . My car has the same problem, going to check out what you said. Its just weird that i can push start it and it runs fine but cant from a stand still. Im really close to going to the stealership next time i get it started if i cant find out the problem soon.

reset the alarm, try unhooking the batter for 5 min. then restarting it..also thinking could it possibly be a starter going bad?
