Help- will not keep started.

i just rebuilt the engine after getting the car in a non running condition. it will start and idle but it wont stay running. i can let it sit at idle and its usually fine. if i give it just a lil bit of gas it will still be fine but it will start idleing high and then settle down. but if i rev it up something causes it to misfire, not idle smoothly, want to die, and is very weak. i have fuel pressure, getting spark in all cyl, air, and compression. most of the guages arent working for some reason. at idle the vac is at around 6. the tach, and oil pressure guage isnt working for sure. ive tried so many different thing to correct the problem but nothing has worked. im stumped now and i need someone elses help.

any help is very appreciated.

this might be an obvious thought, but have you checked to make sure all the hoses and hose clamps on ur vacuum lines, intake lines/pipe, etc. are tight? sounds like an air issue.

Unless something suddenly changed, I thought we determine in the other thread compression was your problem. If I remember correctly, they were 40-60 across.

I had a similar problem in my 96 GS and it turned out to be the EGR valve that was clogged up. I never would have guessed, so that just goes to show you that it could be the smallest little thing. Do 1g's have TPS's? If so, maybe check that. Not too familiar with them.
