Will an EEPROM/Keydiver flash help me with my tuning solution?

I have been looking for a tuning solution. I see the keydiver chip as a part fix to get my talon where it should be. I have 720 injectors that will not idle for crap and I am trying to find the right piggyback for the job. I want a load based tuning approach, something like the ProM system. Although anyhow I would like to know how chip helps the following:

1. Ignition Timing, does it change it or help compensate for more airflow?
2. Idle Characteristics, will it help my car idle better?
3. Will a hacked 2G MAS vs a non hacked on make any difference, I notice you have the options for it (this option is in case I decide to get a SAFC2 and tune with that)
4. Will a chip be benficial to make the car run better?
5. What is the turn around on flashing a chip?
6. The car has Web Cams (street grind), do you feel I need any ISC adjustment?
7. Even with a 60 trim and a port head and build engine do you still feel that stock redline is enough or can I just get the resline increased in case I want to play up there every once in a while?
8. Please stated your most suggested FPR?
9. Does adjusting the Injector size still allow the proper karman signal to be seen or it like lying to the ECU like a piggyback?
10. The no-lift-to-shift option is talking about not lifting the gas pedal?
11. Do you have the bare chips available in case I want to keep the stock chip itself to use to put back to stock?

I am trying to find a solution to use any tuning device I choose and to use less of a Global adjustment to get the car where it should. I would like to keep the 720 injectors as I feel they are actually needed to get the car running right for the amount of air I will be pushing.

I e-mailed keydiver and still no answer. I have read some threads about the keydiver chips with still no solid answers.

1. Ignition timing will remain the same since the chip won't adjust that. He alters the injector deadtime compensation so the ecu will know that it's running 750cc injectors.
2. Your car will idle like it was stock with the keydiver chip.
3. It will make a difference in how the chip is burned, and Jeff will compensate according to how your MAS is set up.
4. Yes.
5. Shouldn't be more than 2 weeks, but that's a question that I'll leave to Jeff.
6. Dunno, I had a chip with stock cams.
7. Redline is dependent upon your valvetrain. If you're sure your valves won't float when you run it past 7500 rpm's then go ahead and up the redline.
8. Aeromotive or SX.
9. The proper karmen signal will be sent. No altered signals will be sent to the ECU, and for many people who have a Keydiver chip, they've found that there is minimal (if any) tuning adjustment needed with the S-AFC.
10. Yes, with NLTS (you'll need to perform the clutch wire mod), the redline will be dropped to ~5K with the clutch in, allowing you to keep your foot planted as you change gears.
11. You keep your stock chip. He will not replace the chip or socket the ecu for you. All he will do is send you the replacement chip. It will be your responsibility to get the ecu socketed and to make sure the original stock chip is kept in a safe and secure location.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the awesome response. In addition to that here is what he sent me:

Joe,
I'm going to lump 1, 2, and 9 together, as they are
all related:
1,2,9: If you are running HUGE injectors, like the
Denso 720's, any piggyback system you use, other than
my chip or DSMLink, is going to have to lie to the ECU
about the airflow by 37.5%, which will put you on more
aggressive timing maps, and cause knock issues, not
allowing you to run much boost on pumpgas. The 2G maps
are actually rather good for 93 octane pumpgas, and my
chip puts you back right on the money again. Also,
since I am properly comensating both the Global Fuel
and the deadtime, they injectors will also idle like
stock. With any piggyback out there, you will
typically have to ADD a ton of fuel at idle with those
720's, tapering it down as the rpm's go up. But, as
you know, the rpm's down really properly represent the
load, so the results are rather hit-or-miss. My chip
puts you back into 100% load-based operation again.

3. Unless you are making alot more than 400 HP, I'd
recommend leaving the honeycombs in the stock MAS.
Some people have alot of success with my "hacked 2G"
compensation, but some MAS's become unpredictable when
hacked. My recommendation is to try it unhacked first,
until you're sure that it has become a limitation (MAS
overrun).

4. As far as ordering, you just have to let me know:
1) what injectors (size and brand)? 720cc Denso??
2) A/C cutout at 5000 rpm?
3) what rev limit?
4) AWD or FWD? 5-speed or A/T?
5) knock sum on the boost gauge?
6) CEL light comes on at 7000 rpm as a shift light?
7) eliminate airflow cap and fuelcut?
8) what year DSM?
9) Any change to idle speed?
10) What Octane Fuel?

5. Usually, once I receive payment I mail the chip out
within 2-3 days at most.

6. I'm not familiar with that grind, but if your state
doesn't check the idle for inspection/emissions, it
can't hurt to go to 800 or 850 if you want to be safe.

7. Most 2G guys have me increase it to 7800 or 8000,
but no more on a stock lock. Without a sheetmetal
intake, most 4G63T's don't pull past 7500.

8. I prefer to see guys replace everything with AN-6
if possible, and use a good Aeromotive/Essex-type
regulator, or something equivalent. Definitely nothing
with barbed fittings! The Buschur bolt-on one is nice,
but too expensive for me.

10. Yes. The NLTS feature allows you to keep the gas
pedal flat to the floor in etween shifts, but I don't
usually supply that to the 2G guys, unless specially
requested. It requires the installation of an extra
clutchwire.

11. Do you already have the good 1995 EPROM-type ECU?
If so, you keep the original chip, and I supply a
completely new one with the new code. That way you can
always go back to stock.

Let me know if you need an ECU, as I offer complete
packages of the ECU, already socketed, plus the chip,
plus UPS Ground insured shipping.
Take care,
Jeff O.
