Will a 1g swap fit in my nt 2g?

I just finished completely redoing the cosmetics on my 2g eclipse (repainted yellow, black carbon fiber hood, lambo doors, gsx wing, blitz body kit, black carpeting with yellow custom embroidery, yellow sparcco seats, yellow and black dash trim, etc, etc.) and I want to know if either a tsi or gsx 1g will fit in my 2g. I plan on taking the engine, tranny, transfercase, and basically everything from the 1g and putting it into the 2g. Do i need to change my suspension or will the awd work? Any tips or thoughts on how to make it work? Ill post some pictures soon of the updates (looks pretty sick, just got a flamethrower kit, going to install it soon )

looks like he used a pt-looser intake.
if you want to keep your car i say go with an srt swap.

I like the str4 swap idea, I wouldn't go with a pt intake but the price of an srt4 engine and wiring set-up isn't cheap. Though I agree with the power increase and potential I may end up modding the 420a if I can find the parts for the right price

There are plenty of items around for a 420A motor to push 400 hp for you. As mentioned before just look around at ebay, tuner sale sites, even read posts from the N/T pages. These helped me greatly. many people can push that limit in a 420A. another idea is to NOS that bi*** and do an E-85 conversion. Upgrade your rods, pistons, etc. and that mug will run like a beast!!! I have a 95 GSX and my first beauty was a 95 GS. Being that it was my first I put too much money into and blew the motor after some time, but I cranked around 375 with my mods. Like I said I blew a rod so dont be cheap about your upgrade. good luck, do what I do, keep the GS as the daily and than put the GSX on the shelves for race day . thanks bro

If your gonna even try it your gonna need a 2g awd fuel talk 2g drive shaft 2g awd whole rear subframe 2g awd exhaust 2g front awd sub frame.Like i said alot more money and work than your thinking. You can't just swap everything from the 1g over. Sell your car or turbo your 420a pick one or start working 3 job's and spending all day and night working. Than plan on having your car out of comission for month's.

Why are you so set on keeping this car? Swap over the body kit your "gsx" wing and whatever is inside the car. Instead of trying to turbo this car or swap over the motor. Its not hard to find parts for your car just google 420a performance parts

I"d have to agree wit you in the whole look thing. I mean why you gonna want a car that looks beefy or badass but runs like shit, it doesn't make sense.

yeah I have a NOS set-up right now, but only the purge is working, I didn't want to run it without upgrading the internals. I believe I'm going with a sebring or other cloud car block with srt-4 pistons and rods. I will get ss valves and nice cams, I don't plan on doing this on the cheap. Sure it costs $$ but some people like doing projects like this rather than buying one already assembled. I prefer to get to know my car by doing these things (like how I turboed my hayabusa). I like doing things that not many people have done, plus in the future if my build was sucessful it provides and alternative for all the other gs or rs people out there.

a 95 neon was/is my first car to modifie, there are so meny parts and kits that you can buy. modernperformance is a great place to get parts from. with just a rebuild with wisco turbo pistons 8.8 to1 on stock rods and with a good tune can hit 300 hp. now go fully forged and 400+ can happen. napa will even build you a forged engine.

just do your homework, and research, you can make any motor hit high hp #.
