Will 1g FWD ECU Ecmlink work on a AWD

Was wondering if i could use my ecu on my FWD and put it on a AWD and run fine?

Yep as long as it's the turbo ecu, if that's what you used on your n/t swap.But you said awd, so I'm guessing it's not the turbo n/t car.

yea thats what im using and what i would put in the awd. you made it sound so confusing i have a n/t car with a turbo swap.. so i have a turbo ecu going into a turbo awd

Now your confusing me.You have a n/t and an awd? That's the easiest way I can ask that question.

But long story short a turbo fwd ecu will work in an awd car.

haha i just have a n/t converted to TURBO everything!! and no i dont have the awd yet..
Ok i got my answer my turbo ecu on my fwd will work on a awd

They haveslightly different fuel map but it will work do some research I believe 91/94 will hook right up but the 90 u got to swap to wires

Even if you wanted the Ecu to be "technically" a FWD Turbo and it wasn't already and was a a Turbo AWD the 91-93 Ecu's it's as simple as swapping the 1k Ohm resistors at R129/R130 if you see in the link Bud provided there position determines what the ECU is for not that it matters but it is nice to know when using a Cali Ecu...

NO / NO = AWD California
NO / YES = FWD California
YES / NO = AWD Federal
YES / YES = FWD Federal

It's as simple as swapping some resistors people...Ahh I would rather pay you to do it.

This is why I also use the link, to make sure I'm not using a cali ecu.
